Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security. After entering your password, you'll also enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.

Prerequisites

• An authenticator app that supports TOTP codes, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or 1Password.

Steps

1. Click your avatar in the top right corner and choose Settings, then open the Security tab.
2. Confirm your password if prompted.
3. In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Enable 2FA.
4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the Setup key manually.
5. Enter the 6-digit code from your app and click Confirm.

The section now shows an Enabled badge.

6. Click View Recovery codes and store the codes in a secure password manager. Recovery codes let you regain access if you lose your 2FA device.

Next Steps / Troubleshooting

• When signing in, you'll be asked for your OTP Code. If you don't have your phone, click Use a recovery code and enter one of your saved codes.
• Used or exposed your recovery codes? Click Regenerate Codes on the Security page to get a fresh set.
• To turn 2FA off, click Disable 2FA in the same section.
