Leave a Team
If you no longer work at a facility, you can remove yourself from its team. You do not need a manager to do it for you.
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Choose Settings, then Teams.
- Find the team you want to leave and click Leave.
- Confirm when the browser asks.
The Leave link only appears when you belong to more than one team, because every account has to belong to at least one.
What you keep
Leaving a team does not affect the training you have already done.
- Your certificates stay on your record and can still be downloaded and printed.
- Your completed coursework stays in your history.
- Outside training sessions you attended stay in your attendance list. You can still open them to read the details, but you can no longer edit them.
What changes
- You are removed from the team's member list and from any groups inside it.
- The team's managers can no longer assign you new training or see your progress.
- If you were working in that team, you are moved to another one of your teams. Check the team menu at the top of the page to see where you landed.
Finish assigned training first
Training the facility assigned to you stays on your list after you leave, and you can still open it. What changes is the certificate at the end of it.
State approval codes come from being an Administrator on the facility's team. Once you leave, that no longer applies, so a course you finish afterwards may produce a certificate without an approval code. Anything you finished while you were still on the team keeps its code.
If you have training in progress, finish it before you leave, or ask the facility how they want to handle it.
When you cannot leave
Three situations stop you leaving. In the first the Leave link is hidden; in the other two the page explains what to fix.
It is your only team. Every account has to belong to at least one team. Create a new team or accept an invitation to another one first, then come back and leave this one.
You are the only manager and other people are still on the team. A team cannot be left without a manager. Give the manager role to someone else from the team's member list, then leave. The message reads:
> You're the only manager of [team]. Promote another manager before leaving.
You are the last person on a team that still has a subscription. Cancel it first from Manage → Subscription, so the facility is not charged for a team nobody is in. The message reads:
> Cancel [team]'s subscription before leaving.
